Morning glory Ipomoea nil (= Pharbitis nil)

Dairin benifukurin, Large-flowered Margined red, Margined, retracted, dr agonfly (Mr, re, dg)

Copyright 1998-2022 Yoshiaki Yoneda

The white margin is beautiful in the dark red corolla (slide 149). The margin is controlled by dominant genes. Various colors of morning glory flowers are produced by basic genes for color expression and their modifying genes. Wistaria color (slide 150) and maroon color (slide 151) are both quiet hues.
