Seiyoohirugao, Field bindweed Convolvulus arvensis L.

Distributed broadly over Europe, Asia, and North America. Weed in the field. Corolla is white or light pink, ca. 3cm in diameter. Leaves are halberd-shaped, side lobes being ear-like at base of leaf blade. Leaf form is rich in variation. Bracts are small. The plants (slides 002, 003) cultivated. Naturalized weeds (side 004) in Shimizu city, Japan. Photos taken 1983.8.9 (slide 002), 1983.7.25 (slide 003) and 1983.9.10 (slide 004).
