Colors and designs of leaves

Yellow leaf ("Ki-ba") This leaf is bright and its color is yellow-green. When a yellow leaf has white spots, we call it a yellow variegated leaf ("Ki-Fuiri-ba"). As the leaf's green color is light, showing that it doesn't contain much chlorophyll, we know that this plant is not vigorous, but we appreciate its tender beauty.

Green leaf ("Ao-ba") The leaf green here is intense. This is the ordinary leaf color of the morning glory. Because it has a lot of chlorophyll, the plant is brought up well. When a green leaf has white spots, we call it a green variegated leaf ("Ao-Fuiri-ba").
