This strain was kindly supplied by Mr. T. Tazima in 1999, who said it had been collected from Cebu, one of the Philippine islands, by his friend.
The hypocotyls and veins of cotyledons have a tinge of red. There are epidermal hairs to the hypocotyls and the cotyledonary petiole. The leaf is three-pointed and large, and the typical main is the narrow lobe type. Epidermal hairs grow thick on the upper and lower surfaces of the leaf, making it soft to the touch. The plant is vigorous. In Shizuoka-city, blooming begins at the end of July. Only one flower is observed per peduncle. The flower is light blue and 5 to 6 cm in diameter. The flower tube is white. The light blue of the flower resembles that of Chinese Peking Tendan. The calyx hairs are white.
