Marubarukoo, Star ipomea Ipomoea coccinea L.

(=Quamoclit coccinea (L.) Moench)

Leaves are cordate. Corolla is crimson yellow and flower tube is yellow. The number of chromosomes is 2n=28. It was introduced to Japan in the Kaei era (1848-1854). Originated in tropical America.
