Youziro (Ray white) morning glory is now spreading as a new cultivariety of the morning glory. This variety has excellent growth due to interspecific hybrid origin, has a multiflowered characteristic and excellent flower durability, too. Receiving the characteristics of Ipomoea purpurea, this variety has greater resistance against coolness in autumn than Ipomoea nil, thus providing the advantage of a longer flowering period. Above all, the contrast between the white rays and the ground color of the petals is so vivid that it has introduced an innovation to the morning glory, Ipomoea nil, which has quiet colors generally. We can enjoy this variety fully on fences as well as in potted cultures.
