7-9,14-17,19 Duplicated ("Botan-zaki" or "Botan") In this mutant, both the stamens and the pistil in the flower change into a petal. This mutant does not set any seeds.
8-16 Split-petaled ("Kire-zaki") All flowers are a split-petaled type. Among them, we show here a split narrow-petaled type (8,9)("Sai-zaki"), frilled split-petaled flowers called Dianthus type(10) ("Nadeshiko-zaki") and split-petaled flowers with a cup composed of reversed flower tubes in the center, called a windmill type (13)("Kuruma-zaki").
18, 19 Feathered ("Shishi-zaki") This is one of the strangest of the mutant morning glories.
20 Spouting up ("Fukiage") This type has spouting petals from the cup of the windmill, which is composed of 5 split petals.
21 Sword-petaled or Acuminate ("Ken-zaki" or "Nanten") Sword-type flowers have nandin (Nandina domestica)-like leaves.
22 Peacock ("Kujaku") In this mutant, stamens change into petals.
